Collaborating for
Inclusive Change
Empowering communities through leadership, creativity, and sustainability.
Building Stronger Communities
CCSC connects grassroots voices with leaders, funders, and institutions. Through collaboration, creativity, and action, we nurture leadership, equity, and sustainable solutions for inclusive change.
About Us
The Collaborative Center for Social Change (CCSC) was founded in Kampala in 2022 by community advocates and youth determined to build a fairer, more inclusive Uganda. We believe that lasting change grows through trust, collaboration, and shared action. Our work connects grassroots communities with funders, institutions, and decision-makers, ensuring that solutions are shaped by those most affected.
At CCSC, we value action over words. We nurture leadership, strengthen organizations, and open access to knowledge and resources so communities can lead their own development. Equity is at the heart of our mission — we recognize that challenges are experienced differently, and meaningful progress requires tailored responses.
We also leverage creative arts as a powerful tool for dialogue, healing, and awareness. By combining leadership, equity, and creativity, CCSC continues to grow as a space where ideas, people, and partnerships come together to shape practical solutions for inclusive change.

Through Amani Participatory Theatre, we work directly with communities to address pressing social challenges. Our approach is participatory, allowing individuals not just to watch but to actively shape the stories being told. Our workshops and performances focus on key areas such as:
HIV and AIDS Awareness
Promoting prevention, encouraging treatment, and reducing stigma through open dialogue and community storytelling.
Public Health
Raising awareness about healthcare access and strengthening community engagement in health systems.
Nutrition
Addressing food and nutrition challenges while promoting healthier practices through creative expression.
Peacebuilding
Creating spaces to discuss issues such as domestic violence, tribalism, and interethnic conflict, encouraging understanding and reconciliation.
Using theatre and other expressive arts, we create safe environments where people can speak openly, listen deeply, and begin to imagine new ways forward.
